Q: can i put a 96 chevy impala ss engine on my 06 impala ls?
Or how can i add more horsepower to my 06 impala?

A: 1st answer is no…second you can try summit for larger throttle body and maybe a more free flowing exhaust..or an ecu chip/reprogram. Other than that not too many mods you can do on the newer cars. Get something to modify/race and keep your daily driver dependable..

Q: I have a 86 chevy pickup and I want to put a 96 chevy impala ss motor in it.?
i would like to know what all will i need and what all will i have to do in order for it to work right.

A: Lots and lots of stuff For one thing the LT1 engine uses a reverse cooling setup. That requires a different type of radiator. Than there is the fuel system and lets not forget the computer. And more plus that . But that alone are enough problems to try and solve. It would be easier to just stick with an older 350 running an HEI ignition system and a good old fashion carburetor.

Q: Online store for my 96 chevy impala ss?
i am looking for a good online store that i can buy performance parts, aftermarket head and tail lights, billet grills etc.?? i have gone to the impalasuperstore.com and they dont have too much for my 96′.

A: try http://www.yearone.com/ they have a lot of chevy parts.

Q: 94-96 Chevy Impala SS – Classic?
Do you think the 94-96 Chevy Impala SS will be a classic in say 30 years?

http://www.chevysupersport.net

A: It’s very hard to say. Rarity and condition are the two key elements that keep the collectors going after certain cars. But more importantly, they love two door cars. Four door cars are not sexy to these fickle collectors, but there are exceptions here and there.

The key is to keep the car as original, clean, and well maintained as you can.

Q: will the stock 17 inch rims from the 94-96 chevy impala ss fit my 04 impala?
04 impala Description: 16″ x 6″ Alloy Wheel
Machined Finish; Alloy Wheel, 16 X 6, 5 Slot

96 impala Description: 17″ x 8.5″ Alloy Wheel
17 X 8.5, 5 Spoke

does that mean anything? those are the specs on the rims….would it fit?

A: Absolutely not….The 94 impala SS was a rear wheel drive car and true muscle car. The 04 impala is front wheel drive.
Completely different cars. only the name is the same

Q: How do you do an air pump delete on an 96′ Chevy Impala SS ?
It’s throwing up OBDII:P0410 trouble code.
*It has been determined that the Secondary AIR Injection system is not required to meet emission requirements for these vehicles only.

Q: What is the average cost to rebuild an LT1 transmission for a 96 Chevy Impala SS? ?

A: No such transmission.

LT1 is your engine, not your transmission.

But standard price for a tranny rebuild is around $1000. Depending on what the transmission is. Which you don’t seem to know.

Q: I find this ‘96 Chevy Impala SS FOR 2900 WITH 64K miles on it.
Is that a good buy and should I purchase it?

A: Thats a really good deal unless there is something wrong with the car. Get it checked out by a mechanic. Those cars really hold their value well and in good shape I would think its worth a lot more than $2,900 and with such low mileage.

Q: What makes the 90’s Chevy Caprice sit higher than 94-96 Impala SS?

I am thinking about buying this car, i want to replace a couple of engine parts, and if its not already super charged, i was thinking of putting in a super charger. I just want to know, from past impala owners, i just want to know the pros and cons for this car. i am also looking to do some body work, and possible turn this car into a show car

Q: 1996 Chevy Impala ss OWNERS ANSWER PLEASE!!!!?
i was thinking of buying a 96 chevy impala, i was wondering wat are the pros and the cons of this car. and what is a good price for this car right now??? if i do decide to buy this car i want to rebuild the engine and twin turbo charge it. would be able to rebuild the engine over maybe like 5 years but still be able to use it as an everyday car??? the TT kit can be installed in 1 day and be able to drive it the next so the TT wont be a problem….

A: good choice dude my mother had 1 about 10 years ago (we traded because she dont drive her cars after 1 year) but she put 49,000 miles on it and never had a problem. the price will never go down because they are rare and they will just increase in value,
and a good price
excellent: $18,995 – $25,995
good: $12,995 – $17,995
fair: $7,995 – $11,995
poor: $4,995 – $6,995
bad: $995 – $3995

Q: if i have a 96 impala ss with a LT1 corvette motor in it what are some cheap ways i can make this chevy move?

A: #1) The 96 Impala SS has an iron headed LT1 350 engine with LESS than 275 HP(260?). The Corvette LT1 has aluminum heads and 4 bolt main block. Camshaft profile is also different and several other little things ect.

#2) Depending upon what kind of money you have, do upgrades in steps or spending spree whatever your pleasure. Steps you can figure out what each upgrade has changed in your cars performance.

In my opinion I would do a gear swap to a 3.73 or 4.10s, fuel mileage will probably not be as efficient but you will notice the pickup from a stop for sure(0-80 or 100). I would also do headers and exhaust upgrade. Comp Camshaft with a 1.6 Roller Rocker and the proper spring to match the cam. Those modifications there will improve things quite a bit. With the camshaft depending upon the profile of the cam you will need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator from Aeromotive and a ECU tune from Ed Wright Automotive. All of this will make that LT1 run more efficient and put out more HP/TQ. There are lots of other things you can do also. Ignition upgrades, K & N or Moroso Cold Air Induction, suspension, and others. But those last few will not doing anything your looking for as far as HP/TQ gains to make it “move”. The stuff I mentioned above is what will get you where you want to be. Good Luck!

Q: What is the best performance site for a?
